The first video in this series outlines the Yellow Spikes Program which depicts how insulin assists with the management of blood glucose.
This diagram will assist participants with gaining a foundation understanding of the role of insulin in energy management and transfer.
Insulin resistance, occurs when insulin becomes less effective at maintaining blood glucose levels which in turn may lead to diabetes and/or impaired cognition as we age.

Fiteracy Mini Education Sessions: The Postman Diagram and Understanding Blood Glucose and Insulin
The second video in this series outlines the Postman Video. In this short 3 minute video, we use the analogy of a postman delivering parcels at your door all day and the stress the receiver goes through to find a use for these parcels.
The parcels are " blood glucose" and the receiver is your " insulin" who is getting worn out trying to find a use for these parcels. Instead of find a use for these parcels, they are stored. This storage is the " fat: on your organs ( liver) and body.
